Election 2012

We just wrapped up a project on the Presidential Election of 2012. Students chose a topic to report on and presented using our class wiki. We also held mock debates so that students could put into practice what they researched and learned from other groups.

We just finished a unit on career exploration in math. Each student researched a different career choice and how math is applied. What was something interesting that you learned when researching for this project?

Island of the Blue Dolphins

We are currently on chapter 7 in the book Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell. Karana has just jumped off the boat to swim back to be with her brother on the now abandoned island. How would you feel if you were Karana, alone on a deserted island? How do you think she will survive?

Free Museum Day
